The domestication project was not the best in my opinion. This project was the study of the pets we are around today such as cats, dogs, etc have today became who they are and who are their ancestors. This project got us to learn deep on genetics like how genes are passed down, what took and made them into pets if they are pets to some of us, and punnet squares. After going into this deeper we went right away into research. Now, we all had to come up with a question relating to animals whether they have been domesticated or not. So, after we all have our data we went and put it all together to form a project and put it on a poster and we went to the foreground (location of our project) and presented it to many people.
Going into my project, my question was "Is there a different dominance ranking between dogs and cats" In this experiment I tested two animals that have lived together for a long time which were my dog and my cat. My dog is a golden retriever and my cat is just a black cat. What I had studied was that I had an action for them to do either being fed first; who has more power, being petted, etc and I would record and rank them through 1-5 being 5 being very patient and would go with the flow and one being the opposite and not being patient and not wanting to go with the flow. What I found out with no surprise because cats have a long history of coming from the king of the jungle and dogs don't so that my cat had more dominance ranking than my dog. I had added all the numbers I have given them throughout their actions and wanted to see who had the lowest number. My cat did due to him having 1's and 2's and my dog having all 4's and 5's. I picked this question because I live with two animals that can be very annoying together and so I thought that this would be perfect to test these two animals. Also in the past before we started this project I had noticed that they seem to argue to each other like who gets fed first and etc. My future question would possibly be "Does age differ which animals has more dominance?",
